Becoming a
Professional Healer

SHORT COURSE

If you have completed the above 5 Accredited Courses, you may apply to take this final course to become a professional healer/practitioner.
This Course will provide you with the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to start healing professionally.
After successful completion, you will be fully accredited by Leaves Institute as a Healer/Practitioner.

Overview:

In the previous Kengen Healing units, students learned about Spinal Alignment and Energy Flow Practice.  In this unit students will learn how to facilitate the client to manifest their true self (self realisation). This unit will focus on the process of self realisation or manifesting their true selves.  This unit will allow the student to practice further on the client recipient they worked on in Unit 4. In this unit however, students will learn to facilitate the client’s self manifestation process to deepen.

The unit will briefly introduce the Chosei and Kikobari Methods as useful tools to advance the process of self-realisation. However these will be made available to students as separate courses in the future.

This is the final unit in your journey of becoming a professional healing practitioner. At Leaves Institute, we often use the term Professional Healing Facilitator because it describes a person who facilitates the healing of others rather than one who provides the healing of others.

The symbiotic process of facilitating your own healing as a practitioner while precipitating and facilitating the innate ability in the client, lies at the heart of Jikochiyu philosophy and practice. Once started on the journey of self healing, with the right self care, guidance and support, the client journey will be self perpetuating and continuous as will that of the practitioner as he/she graduates onto working in a professional capacity.

To ensure that students are well prepared for the transition to professional healing practice, this final unit will cover the following key preparatory areas.

First the unit will place a strong focus on the importance of self care and supervision for the Professional Healing Facilitator. This will include ongoing reflection and observation of one’s own personal development and healing process. It will also cover the importance of ongoing professional development through CPD.

Secondly, the unit will provide the framework for an Extended Case Study including detailed requirements, headlines and structure for such a Case Study as the key medium for recording the success of healing plans and treatments for future reference and to ensure future progress.

The third area of focus will be the application of the Code of Conduct and Ethics to professional practice and your future as a professional. We will cover preparation of the healing session and working within professional guidelines and limitations. Students will be prepared for work as a professional within the wider field of complementary therapies including the importance of building professional networks and joining professional regulatory bodies, registers and associations.

Finally, in this unit, students will learn key basics needed for starting up in business. Key essentials will include:

  • Personal branding and how authenticity must be central to the way in which you present yourself to the outside world.

  • Guidance on running a successful business- why charging is important to your integrity, self respect and respect for clients. Why it is important to take responsibility and to be prepared to receive as well as to give in a transactional relationship.
