Healing Awareness

SHORT COURSE

Developing & deepening your awareness as a healer.

Overview:

The Healing Process begins with recognising that there is a problem: a pain or an issue.
When you are tending to a problem, healing can help the person to acknowledge & accept the problem. This starts the process of solving the problem which leads to their healing, which becomes a step towards their self-realisation.
Students will learn the concept of how to recognise and deal with a problem, rather than the continuous reliance upon practitioners & healers.

This unit is an opportunity for you to reflect the healing journey and healing process in yourself and in others. You will learn the effectiveness of interventions you could use.
People may progress forwards and backwards in their healing process, but the goal is to complete all the stages of this process and evolve your life towards the deeper happiness of self-realisation.

Students will be introduced to the concept of the "healing mind" and its role in assisting the healing process, accompanied by empathy and understanding in interacting with others.

You will learn about legal requirements as well as the requirements of regulatory bodies for the healing profession.

All Leaves Institute students should be aware of the Leaves Institute Code of Conduct and Ethics. (COCE). This unit draws on essential guidelines for good practice in Healing required by the key regulatory body for healers in the UK, the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council). The CNHC was established with government support to set up and maintain a register of practitioners who 'meet national standards, are of good character and are fit to practise'.  It is important that you understand the context of healing and the parameters for a responsible, safe and optimal healing experience.
As you may practise healing (on friends and family), it is important that you know your rights. You will also be able to identify 'good practice' as a client if you were to receive healing.

The Code of Conduct and Ethics unit is aligned to CNH 1, CNH 2 and elements of CNH25 of the Core Curriculum for Healing as specified by the CNHC and UK Healers. This will provide good foundation knowledge for the rest of your experience at Leaves as well as provide you with knowledge and skills that will help you progress as a healer and will enable you to practice healing safely in accordance with National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the Healing discipline.
